Healing Pathways Cancer Resource Center is planning an exciting new event, the Ebony & Ivory Evening in the Gardens, surrounded by the autumn beauty of Anderson Japanese Gardens on October 5, 2012. Our first “Evening in the Gardens” event in 2010 raised $13,000 for the Center. Money raised through this event will enable our non-profit organization to continue offering supportive programs, classes, and services at no cost to local and regional cancer survivors and their caregivers.
The EBONY AND IVORY event is an evening of chic white and black attire, featuring gourmet hors d’oeuvres and desserts, touring of the Gardens, and live entertainment by the famous Chicago’s Dueling Pianos. Tickets will be $65 per person. Cash bar will be available.
Since opening our doors in April 2010, Healing Pathways, a 501c3 non-profit organization, has provided over 5000 hours of complementary care including nutrition, exercise, stress reduction, and group support programming. These services help our guests cope with the challenges of cancer treatment and do not impact their personal budget. In addition, we introduce information and skills to help them transition into survivorship and optimal health.
“Cancer can shake your security. Going to Healing Pathways has given that back to me………”
Karen L, cancer survivor
